A little bit random.

This should explain how my mind functions these days... all over the place and totally random!

I can't stop staring at these Rebecca Minkoff sandals.  The light grey blue leather with the thick wood heel and gold detail... just gorg.  Do I go for it?!  It's almost my birthday, just saying.

Music on repeat right now... talk about random!

Emeli Sande - Maybe
ZZ Ward - Blue Eyes Blind
Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
Randy Houser - Runnin' Outta Moonlight
Fall Out Boy - My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark
Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran - Everything Has Changed
Blake Shelton & Pistol Annies - Boys 'Round Here

In a bit more exciting news, for me at least, Worboys Design is finally getting its own office space.  So we've placed orders for some fun furnishings.  It should look something like this...

So excited, I can barely handle it.

Adele | 21

I haven't even finished downloading my pre-order of this album and I'm already obsessed. Adele's 2nd album, "21" (which will be released tomorrow) might be better than her first, "19." It's a bold statement but it's THAT good.

Check her out. She's amazing!

Random thoughts...

Today, I was reminded by a very demanding sea|pea|tea follower (you know who you are!), that it's been over a week (11 days to be exact) since my last post. My sincerest apologies!! The work and play travel has been out of control, as always, but I'm back for the remainder of the month and plan to get back on track!

This will hardly suffice as a proper post, but there are just a couple things I must share...

First, is this picture of Donner Lake at sunset. I couldn't resist pulling off the road to snap a couple shots as we were leaving an awesome day at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in Tahoe this past weekend.

Secondly... Have you downloaded The Script's newest album, Science and Faith yet?! Well, it's as good as their first, which we all know was amazing. For the First Time and Nothing... LOVE them!

Lastly... Let's talk about the movie Blue Valentine. Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling are incredible in these roles, but if you're in need of a great love story, this probably isn't the one. There's a sweet love story mixed in but, goodness, it's definitely not a "feel good" movie. I left feeling like I needed to watch The Notebook immediately! :)

"Marry Me"

We arrived back home on Tuesday night to a tired puppy and lots of Christmas cards! We slept most of the flight from Taipei to SF, so we skipped the jet lag and dove right back into work mode (blah!). I'm more thankful for the weekend than ever and hope to finally have some time to go through the hundreds and hundreds of pictures taken in Thailand!

But first, I must share the song I've been listening to on repeat since first hearing it at the Quimby's :) wedding a couple weeks ago...

"Marry Me" - by Train

Forever could never be long enough for me
To feel like I've had long enough with you
Forget the world now we won't let them see
But there's one thing left to do

Now that the weight has lifted
Love have surely shifted my way
Marry Me
Today and every day
Marry Me
If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will, say you will

Together could never be close enough for me
To feel like I am close enough to you
You'll wear white and I'll wear out the words
I love you and you're beautiful

Now that the wait is over
And love has finally showed her my way
Marry Me
Today and every
Marry Me
If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will, say you will

Promise me, you'll always be
Happy by my side
I promise to sing to you
When all the music dies

And marry me
Today and everyday
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will, say you will...

This was played during their slide show and I had goosebumps through the entire song. I'm a hopeless romantic, I can't help it! Listen to it here.

Hope this puts a smile on your face going into the weekend :) Ok, back to my Blackberry Cornmeal Cake for tonight's dinner!

You are the best thing!

If you went to David Gray & Ray LaMontagne's show last night... I'm jealous.

Ray LaMontagne holds a special spot in my heart, as my husband and I danced to "You Are the Best Thing" for our first dance. It's hard to believe that it was almost a year ago :)

Ray said it best...

Baby, it's been a long day, baby
Things ain't been going my way
You know, I need you here,
To clear my mind, all of the time

And baby
The way you move me, it's crazy
It's like you see right through me
And make it easier
Believe me, you don't even have to try

Oh, because
You are the best thing
You are the best thing
You are the best thing
Ever happened to me.

Baby, we've come a long way, baby
You know I hope and I pray that you believe me
When I say, this love won't ever fade away

Oh because,
You are the best thing
You are the best thing
You are the best thing
Ever happened to me

Both of us have known love before
To come on up promising like the spring, just walk on out the door
Our words are strong
And our hearts are kind
Let me tell you just exactly what's on my mind

You are the best thing
You are the best thing
You are the best thing
Ever happened to me.

Mozella Music

Photobucket

I came across this picture of singer/songwriter Mozella and was reminded how much I love her. I've listened to her album "Belle Isle" non stop since downloading it over a year ago. It's such fun, funky, cool music that I'm constantly signing along to. My poor husband :)

Some of my favorites... "Freezing", "Hurry Up & Choose"

Check it out { here }!
