Close to my heart.

My hubby must have been listening when I talked (non-stop!) about wanting a necklace with my daughter's name, because this showed up in a sweet little package yesterday...

I love having her close to my heart :)

I had ordered them before, for my mommy friends, but I hadn't see one up close. The names are handmade and come on a delicate and dainty 14k gold filled chain. It's the sweetest thing! You can order them on Esty from Jewelry Custom Designs by Dharlee. I've exchanged a few emails with her and she seems as sweet as she is talented.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Winslow and I went to see Daddy play in a pond hockey tournament in Evergreen (about 40 minutes from Denver), so beautiful!

It's official. 2011 was the most incredible, fulfilling, eventful year of my life. Some highlights...

Wow, (that took forever!) was quite a year! I love looking back on every one of these pictures. 2011, you were good to us. Can't wait to see what 2012 has in store. I have a feeling each and every year moving forward will be better than the last with Winslow in our lives.

Happy 2012 Everyone!!

T-2!

Vail tomorrow... beyond excited!

We skipped the tree this year, since the house has been taken over by baby contraptions, BUT it's still feeling quite festive in the de Windt household...

Knitting Fool.

Guess who's learning to knit. Yup!

Because I have sooooo much free time on my hands and because I don't have enough little hobbies to fill my 12 minutes of free time a day. :) My grandma taught me how to knit when I was little and I've been determined to learn again. So when Winslow's nanny walked in the other day with her knitting stuff and I begged her to teach me.

So... project #1...

This will be a fabulous, chunky, cozy infinity scarf. Getting it done before winter is over is another question. I'm kind of dying to make these for Winslow next!

I've got to say, there's something really relaxing about turning off your brain and working away with the needles. I recommend. :)

Novogratz Modern + Vintage

I really want to start incorporating some modern pieces in with the rustic and classic furniture we have going on in our home for a more eclectic feel. And I can't think of any designer that does that better than the Novogratz. They're amazing... I kind of want to be them... with Del has Mr. Novogratz... minus the 7 kids... plus our little Winslow :)

They're being featured on The Foundary's Designer Gallery for the next 3 days.

My favs...

Has anyone snagged some amazing pieces yet? Do share!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Uncle James is coming into town to spoil his niece :)
