Philanthropist - Local Boutique combining Fashion & Philanthropy

Photobucket

I just came across this boutique online and realized they're right in my neighborhood!

THE CONCEPT FOR PHILANTHROPIST BEGAN IN A GROCERY STORE IN PACIFIC HEIGHTS. Philanthropist Founder Jessica Moment was doing her weekly shopping and came across a jar of Newman’s Own spaghetti sauce stating the company’s mission of donating 100% of its profits to charity. Jessica thought that this business model would be the perfect way to combine her passion for fashion with her commitment to philanthropy. The Philanthropist idea was born.

A ground-breaking integration of fashion and philanthropy, Philanthropist boutique is located in the posh Presidio Heights neighborhood in San Francisco. Philanthropist’s mix of chic, modern, and luxurious apparel and accessories combined with exceptional customer service are what keep clients coming back season after season.

One hundred percent of Philanthropist’s profits go directly to charities combating poverty within the Bay Area. Philanthropist believes that women derive great pleasure from both helping others in need and looking fabulous in their everyday lives. At Philanthropist the purchase of each beautiful piece is an act of compassion.

Such an incredible concept! The current charity benefiting from 100% of profits is The Legal Aid Society - Employment Law Center, which provides free legal services to low-wage and unemployed workers.

With designers like Vera Wang, Catherine Malandrino and Phillip Lim, it's pricey! But they do carry items by Splendid for the rest of us :) Support this boutique if you can!
